About

Enjoy a wine selection specially curated for you by the enologist and patron of Château Belá wines – Miroslav Petrech.

Alibernet 2018
This variety originates from Moldova – a cross between Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon, introduced to former Czechoslovakia in 1959 by Professor Kraus. It requires longer aging in wooden barrels; this wine was aged for 3 years. On the nose, you’ll find dried tobacco, poppy seeds, green and ground pepper. Best paired with steaks and red meats. This wine is characterized by a higher content of tannins and acidity.

Breslava 2023
A new Slovak grape variety developed by Dorka Pospíšilová and Ondrej Korpás – a cross between Chrupka Ružová, Traminer, and the Italian variety St. Maria d’Alcantara. It is known for aromas of tropical fruit such as grapefruit and orange, with a Traminer-like finish.

Rhein Riesling 2023
Originally from Germany, this variety is known for its aromas of honey, beeswax, lime, and a rich bouquet of linden blossoms. As it ages, it develops a petrol-like scent. A harmonious wine, well-balanced with residual sugar and acidity. Best served with light dishes such as salads, fish, or soups.

Welschriesling 2023
A pleasant white wine with a light greenish-yellow hue, offering a wide spectrum of aromas and flavors. Originally from France, this variety features fruity, muscat-like notes and a higher acidity content.

Grüner Veltliner 2022
The leading grape variety of Austria, and once one of the most widely planted varieties in Czechoslovakia alongside Welschriesling. It offers a muscat-fruity aroma, so much so that locals in Modra used to call it “green nutmeg.” The aftertaste reveals bitter almonds at the back of the tongue, earning it the nickname “almond wine.” Best enjoyed with white meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé 2023
A classic rosé color with aromas of strawberries and whipped cream. Best served with vegetable salads and white meats.
