Château Béla is located in the town of Belá, located in the southern part of the Slovak Republic, bordering Hungary. Belá is just 10 km / 6 ml. from the Danube river and the medieval town of Esztergom (Hungary). The closest airports are Budapest (90km), Bratislava (130km), and Vienna (190km). Château Béla accepts the following credit cards: VISA, and Eurocard/MasterCard. Maestro, VISA Electron and MasterCard Electron are accepted in connection with a personal identification number (PIN). The Château does not have a license to run an exchange office.
The Slovak Republic's currency is the Euro (EUR). Payment is accepted in cash or by credit card at the Château's reception in EUR, only.
Properly trained dogs are allowed at Château Béla at a daily fee of € 20 incl. VAT, in company of the owner of the dog, and kept at a leash. Guide dogs for the blind are allowed to stay for free. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurants, bars and meeting rooms, unless functioning as guide dogs for the blind.

While Château Béla has a security team on the estate assuring discreet and attentive care, additional security measures can be arranged customized to clients requirements.
Most of the Château's rooms and all of the restaurants are non-smoking areas. Smoking is allowed on the courtyard terrace, and public bar and private dining area.
Citizens of the EU are permitted to stay in the Slovak Republic for an unlimited period. U.S. and Canadian citizens can stay visa-free for up to 90 days. Citizens of most other countries require a visa to enter the Slovak Republic. Current visa requirements can be obtained from your nearest Slovak Republic mission.
Voltage in the Slovak Republic is 220 volts, and plugs are of the two-pin continental type. The Château has an ample stock of adaptors and converters for guests' use.
Southern Slovakia has a temperate continental climate. The seasons are usually well defined, with July and August the hottest months (28-30°C, 82-86°F) and December and January the coldest, when temperatures may fall to -15°C or 5°F.
